The clients dream was to have a home with a UNIQUE flare! Something different but unpredictable. This home has an open floor plan that flows from one room to another. Each room has a warm and eclectic feel. Sherri Goode's goal was to create warmth by using multiple textures and earth tone colors.

The formal living room and dining room displays an open feel for the clients by bringing the outside in. The window treatments are made of a silk (decorative only) with antique gold medallions. The walls are faux painted with bronze colored veins. The arched wall that separates the formal dining room from the formal living room was hand painted in a faux coral rock finish.

This faux coral rock finish was applied by hand with plaster and antique stain. The leather furniture is classic in nature. Once again, another Ulla Darni chandelier hung delicately over the dining room table providing function and artistic beauty.

The warmth in the family room had an eclectic feel by combining contemporary accessories, lighting and art mixed with traditional furnishings, thus adding for an air of unpredictability, The hand blown glass chandelier, created by Ed Pennebaker, brings in vibrant color to tie the room together. The abstract painting was the room’s focal point.

The master suite is a combination of the client’s personality! Bold, striking and eccentric. The back wall was painted in 24K gold leaf with black Venetian plaster in a harlequin pattern. The remaining walls were painted in black Venetian plaster with a gold clear coat. The king bed was upholstered in black leather with a faux fur spread. The empire chair and chaise lounge added to the eclectic feel. The Ulla Darni chandelier is dear to the client’s heart. In this room, the lighting has a dual purpose.....functionality and art!

The kitchen is the connection between the family room and formal living area, which was important for Sherri Goode to create a continual flow. The kitchen’s beauty evolved by combining a mixture of textures with earth tone colors to pique interest. The slate backsplash over the step-down stove provided a warm, pleasing feel. The openness of the kitchen creates an unconfined flow, which enhances the capability for the clients to entertain with ease. The common theme and motif used throughout the interior was to create a warm, eclectic feel, thus piquing interest and unpredictability. The layering of uncommon design elements and steadfast attention to detail resulted in a space that emits warmth and luxury!
