“A spectacular home, a dream come true and a Ritz Carlton feel,” are the words expressed by Sherri Goode's client. This Robinette home was her clients dream. A dream that became reality.

From the initial stage of purchase, Sherri Goode worked with her client diligently to achieve this glitzy, hotel-like feel. This open floor plan lends itself to the much-desired continuous flow from one room to another, which was needed for the client's needs. The goals were set by using multiple textures and finishes creating an earth-toned, monochromatic color scheme that her client desired.

The Formal Living Room's beauty evolved by combining the different textures of faux coral stone on the fireplace combined with onyx and Venetian plaster on the walls. This myriad of finishes created a classy, yet elegant, down-to-earth feel. The furnishings were traditional in nature complimented by the family portrait over the mantel. Elegant sconces were delicately displayed in the center of the fully paneled niches.

The elegant carved dining chairs were upholstered in a combination leather/fabric. The chandelier sets the tone with chocolate and amber- colored French-cut pendalogues. The drapery, functional and decorative in nature, suits all needs and gives the opulent feel. On the walls, a special plaster technique was applied with an antique glazed finish, lending the room an old-world feel. The dining
room has the wow-factor the client favored.

Once again, in the family room we mixed various finishes to create an eclectic feel. The custom floor to ceiling wall unit is the room's focal point. Beautiful egg and dart moulding is applied in combination with the beveled diamond pattern mirror. The arch walkway is fully encased in maple panels. The airbrush technique gives the depth and contrast that this element requires. The metal artwork and silk/wool rug softens the feel. The cocktail ottoman table is very versatile and can be used for many different functions. In this case, the room is used for relaxation and entertainment all at the same time.

A monochromatic color scheme in the master bedroom suite exemplified a true, warm and comfortable feel. The walls were painted in a two-toned mocha faux suede technique. A hand- painted, wood grained chair rail with a gilded finish wrapped around the entire room to differentiate the multiple finishes. The crystal chandelier and mirrored furnishings sparkled thus giving the glitzy feel. The custom bedding and original artwork added to the eclectic, transitional setting.

The baby's room, suitable for the princess that she is, resembles her true beauty. The furniture and fabrics by Bellini set the stage. A custom, hand-painted mural wrapped the entire walls of the room creating a stunning back drop. The custom-made drapery consisted of a cornice with an antique gold crown draped with a side panel for the decorative component. The balloon shades were functional in nature.The silk/wool rug displayed in the center of the room under the crystal chandelier ties all the elements together.

The common denominator used throughout the interior was mixing textures and finishes in warm monochromatic hues. The design goal was to create glitz and elegance with practicality. The attention to detail yields a space that emits warmth and luxury, just as the client desired.
